Running the race

Run your own race.

It’s easy to get side-tracked by all the sparkles and confetti from others’ success. It’s easy to get discouraged that you are not going as fast as they are, or as successful as they are. It’s easy to compare your race to their race. But you are doing yourself a disservice when you start comparing your success to that of others. Before you know it, that voice inside yourself will start telling you that you are not good enough. Before you know it, you become your own enemy.

Do this instead: Focus on your own development. Embrace who and what you are right now and do anything in your own capacity to improve YOU. It is your race, your timing…your life.

Be your own champion.
